FANAWAY® is a retracting blade ceiling fan. When switched off the fan blades automatically retract and conceal, visually transforming the unit into a slim, modern light pendant. Turning on the fan creates a centrifugal force which deploys the blades to circulate air within a room.

Status of Innovation:
FANAWAY® is currently being manufactured by Beacon Lighting and tested for standards approval. All 60 Beacon Lighting stores will be selling FANAWAY® by mid 2008. Negotiations are underway with international distributors. Local and international exhibitions are scheduled for late 2008.
